I deeply believe in the idea of instruments as art. Our tools should be beautiful, and a beautiful tool can absolutely help create beautiful art.

I have been building guitars and basses for years and played with several local bands including The North Code, Labrador, Sam Ness, and Big Bills. My pursuit of a playable ceramic guitar was born of a desire to combine my passions for ceramics and music.

The guitar body is cast ceramic, hollow to keep it lightweight, with a standard wooden neck for playability. Includes hand-wired electronics, ceramic pick guard, and hand-thrown ceramic knobs.

Early prototypes - body weight ~10-12lb. More recent work - body weight ~5-6 lb (close to a wooden body).
